Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

Welcome to Haritha International Sound Healing School (referred to in this document as "Haritha", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of harithasoundhealing.com (the "Site"), our online registration and payment flow, and any course, retreat, workshop or therapy session you book through the Site.

By using the Site or booking a programme with us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or book a programme.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Haritha. You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking or create any account on the Site. By using the Site you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Where a programme is being booked on behalf of someone else (for example a partner, family member, or a participant from your wellness studio), you are responsible for ensuring that the participant has read and agreed to these Terms and to any health declarations we ask for.

2. Use of the website

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use of, the Site by any other person. In particular you agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law.
  • Use the Site to send, knowingly receive, upload or download any material that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which it is hosted, or any database or service connected to it.
  • Introduce any virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or other harmful material to the Site.
  • Scrape, harvest, mirror or otherwise systematically extract content from the Site for any purpose other than personal use, without our prior written permission.
  • Use any automated system, bot or process to place bookings, post comments, or interact with the Site in a way that imitates a human visitor.

3. Accounts & registration

Some parts of the Site — such as completing an enquiry form, booking a course, or commenting on the blog — ask you to share personal details (your name, email, phone, country and similar information). You are responsible for ensuring this information is accurate, complete and kept up to date.

Where we issue you a payment-flow token (the unique URL we email after registration so you can pay your deposit), you agree to keep this URL confidential. Anyone with the token can complete payment on your behalf.

4. Course & retreat bookings

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation email from us — typically after your deposit has been received and your registration form has been reviewed. Until then, your seat is provisional and may be released to another participant.

4.1 Eligibility

Most of our programmes are open to beginners and require no prior experience. A small number of advanced modules (for example Sound Healing Levels 3 and 4) may require completion of an earlier level or equivalent training. The eligibility for each programme is described on its course page. If you are unsure whether you qualify, please contact us before paying the deposit.

4.2 Health declarations

As part of the registration flow we ask you to tell us about any medical conditions, recent surgeries, pregnancy, medications, or mental-health considerations that may affect your participation. This information is used solely to keep you safe during practice — see the Health & wellness disclaimer below.

4.3 Schedule changes

We reserve the right to reschedule a cohort, change the lead teacher, or adjust the timetable when circumstances require it (for example illness, travel restrictions, or a venue change). Where the change is material we will offer you the option of a like-for-like reschedule or a refund of the deposit you paid.

5. Payments & fees

Course fees are shown on each programme page in both USD (for international participants) and INR (for Indian participants). The amount actually billed depends on the participant's country and the package chosen (with or without accommodation, shared or private room, etc.).

Payments are processed by:

  • PayPal — international participants pay the deposit in USD via PayPal Hosted Buttons. PayPal acts as an independent payment processor and applies its own terms.
  • Bank transfer / UPI — Indian participants pay the deposit in INR via bank transfer or UPI as instructed in the payment-flow email.

A non-refundable deposit secures your seat. The balance is payable on arrival (cash, card or bank transfer at our reception). Failure to pay the balance on arrival may, at our discretion, result in your seat being released.

All prices are inclusive of applicable Indian taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any bank charges, currency conversion fees, or third-party processor fees levied on your side of the transaction.

6. Cancellations & refunds

6.1 Cancellation by you

If you need to cancel after paying the deposit, please email us as soon as possible at info@harithasoundhealing.com. Our standard policy is:

  • More than 30 days before start: the deposit is convertible into credit valid for 12 months, towards any of our programmes (a small administrative fee may apply).
  • 15 – 30 days before start: 50% of the deposit is convertible into credit valid for 6 months.
  • Less than 15 days before start, or no-show: the deposit is non-refundable and non-convertible.

6.2 Cancellation by us

In the rare event that we cancel a cohort outright (rather than rescheduling), you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid via the same channel you used to pay. We are not liable for incidental costs such as flights, visas or accommodation booked outside our school.

6.3 Force majeure

Neither party will be liable for a failure to perform under these Terms where the failure is caused by an event beyond reasonable control — including natural disasters, government restrictions, civil unrest, pandemic, or failure of essential third-party services. In such cases we will work with you in good faith to reschedule.

7. Health & wellness disclaimer

Important — please read carefully Sound healing, yoga, breathwork, meditation, Ayurveda and the other practices taught at Haritha are complementary wellness practices. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

You participate in our programmes at your own risk. By booking a programme you confirm that:

  • You have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, pregnancy, recent surgeries, mental-health considerations, and medications in your registration form.
  • You have consulted, or will consult, a qualified medical practitioner about whether the planned practices are safe for you — particularly if you have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, severe anxiety or PTSD, are pregnant, or have any other significant medical concern.
  • You will tell your teacher about any condition that may affect your participation before each session and will follow modifications the teacher suggests.
  • You will discontinue any practice that causes you pain or distress and will inform your teacher immediately.

Haritha, its founders, teachers and staff are not licensed medical practitioners and do not provide medical advice. Any general information shared in classes, blogs, videos or printed materials is for educational and inspirational purposes only.

You confirm that any content you share with us is your own, does not infringe the rights of any third party, and does not contain unlawful or defamatory material. We reserve the right to remove or edit user content that does not meet these standards.

11. Third-party links

The Site contains links to third-party websites (including PayPal, YouTube, Google Maps, social-media profiles and external press articles). These links are provided for convenience only — we do not endorse, control or accept responsibility for any third-party content or service. Your use of any linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site, and all content and services available through it, are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions — whether express or implied — including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will always be available, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that arises from your reliance on information shown on the Site, your inability to access the Site, or any interruption in service.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haritha, its directors, employees, teachers, agents and affiliates will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or participation in any programme.

Our total aggregate liability to you, for all claims arising in connection with these Terms or a programme booking, will not exceed the amount you paid to Haritha for the programme in question in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haritha and its directors, employees, teachers, agents and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property right; (c) any content you submit to the Site; or (d) your behaviour at our premises or during a programme.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, cancel a booking, or remove a piece of user content if you breach these Terms, behave in a way that endangers other participants or staff, or use the Site for unlawful purposes. The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law — will continue to apply.

16. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India, save that we may bring proceedings against you for any breach of intellectual-property rights in any court of competent jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection rules, you continue to benefit from any mandatory rights in your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded by agreement.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect a change in payment processors, a new programme format, or a change in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the date of the most recent material change. For material changes that affect existing bookings (such as a refund-policy update), we will give reasonable advance notice by email to participants with an active booking.

Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
